Journal 12/09/08

Last night, I went to Bunco.  If you don’t know what that is, it is a dice game.  I play with a group of friends, once a month.  We have been playing for several years now.

I took a couple of my books with my last night, just to show them off and hopefully sell one or two, but I actually sold 6 of them.  It was such a blessing.  I wasn’t even there 5 minuets until they were all gone, and one person had to place an order for one, because I ran out.  The neat thing was, I even had a book signing, they all wanted their books signed by me.  WOW!!!  I am actually an author now, never thought that would happen.

Well, we had a long drive last night, and since it was our Christmas party also, it was a longer night than usual.  We got lost getting there, so I ended up taking pain meds,. before I even arrived at the party.  They kicked in about half way through I guess, but then, I was so tired the rest of the night.  By the time I got home at 11:30 p.m., I was in so much pain.  This morning is somewhat better, but my legs and feet are hurting, and my ankles are swollen.

It was worth it though, I had a great time, got a good gift, and sold some books.  I got to spend time with my friends, and got to get out of the house.  That is pretty much the only thing I do, my once a month Bunco night.

Tomorrow, will be a big day for me.  I go to the surgeon to schedule my first surgery and then tomorrow night, we are having Bible Study here at my home.  I am very excited about the day, but can feel the fatigue already.
