Good morning all,
I went to the neurosurgeon last week and he said I have to lose 20 pound before my surgery in February. Well, he didn’t give me any suggestions on how to do it. I think he doesn’t think I will. He is probably hoping I won’t so he can say I cannot have the surgery since he thinks I am way too young for it, but I will prove him wrong.
I have already lost 7 pounds. It is the hardest thing I have ever done, because I have to loose it so quickly, but I am managing. I have decided to go on a very low carb diet. I am eating lots of fruits and veggies, and have cut out all bread, cereal, rice, etc. It sucks, because I love things like potato’s, crackers, chips, etc. I am pounding the water, but am missing my cappuccino’s.
I think the worst part about is, I am feeling really sick to my tummy the past two days. I have been eating grapes and apples for breakfast, which have never bothered me before, and sticking to veggies for lunch. I think with all the meds. I take in the morning, I need some more substance. I did cheat this morning and have a dry piece of toast with my fruit to settle my tummy. It worked for a little while, but then started again. I guess my system is shocked and in a transition stage. I’m sure I will adjust.
The good thing, I have lost 7 pounds already and hope to be able to keep it up, so I can have my surgery.
Lots of Love,
Kim
