Journal 12/29/08 – Waiting for the New Year
Two more days until the New Year. The New Year that will change my life drastically.
In February I am having Spinal Fusion on the Thoracic and the Lumbar areas of my spine. This will finally alleviate the pain I have been in for a year and a half now. I am very excited about being pain free, but am extremely nervous about the recovery. I pray that God will make it as easy as possible on me. I give it all to Him.
Christmas was awsome!!! With the help of some wonderful friends and family, we were able to give our children everything they wanted. Of course, they don’t want too much, but they did get what they asked for. I am very blessed to have such wonderful and understanding children and wonderful, giving friends and family. This truly has been the Best Christmas we have had in quite a while. Thank you all!!!!
I go to the doctor on January 20th to schedule my surgery. So, for the next 22 days, I will be preparing. I have lost 7 of the 20lbs. I need to lose and am working on it every day. I am trying my best to tie up lose ends with family and friends for help with my children while I recover and I am cleaning one room at a time to make sure I don’t look at a dirty house while I sit here, unable to do anything. That is absolutely a pet peeve of mine.
I pray that you had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy and Safe New Year.
Love,
Kim
